What are Technologies for Empowerment? For the first batch of the Kto12 Program in the Philippines, this subject was introduced way back in 2016. A topic that broadens the awareness and skills that will involve the use of computer and Internet.
Why Empowerment Technology is important?
Empowerment Technology is important for it is used as a source of communication. As years passed, lots of gadgets and other devices have improved its uses. Before, a cellular phone is only used for texting, calling and playing simple games.
Technology for empowerment is important since it is used as a source of communication. As years have passed, the use of many gadgets and other devices has improved. A mobile phone is previously used mainly for texting, calling and playing basic games. Today, a mobile phone is not only used for texting, calling and playing basic games because of technological convergence or the way technology improves or evolves its framework. It is now used with the use of the internet and apps or applications such as facebook, messenger, twitter, viber, kakao talk and etc. to connect people from other locations, which is consistently used by most of us all. Without these apps or software, we can not connect with those who are far from us every day. Since empowerment technology is well-known among all of us, it will never be a problem to connect with other individuals who are far from us. By using empowerment technology, friendships that were fractured by distance have now been restored.
It is also necessary for Empowerment Technology to assist our nation in its modernization plans. We live in a world now where everybody is updating their systems. Modernization is called it. Empowerment technology will assist in modernization because by introducing some new technologies to boost our country, it will strengthen our plans to be competitive with other nations. The Philippines has the ability to compete with other nations such as Finland, Japan, and the United States-that their technology achievement is far beyond what anyone predicted.
Empowerment technology is critical, because without E-Tech, it will hamper our potential technology progress.
